Favorites

TrashMe 3 lets you build a collection of favorite apps and store app-related information, such as documents, licence key or comments. This information is stored encrypted on your hard drive and is never sent to the cloud.

Add a favorite app

The best way to add a favorite app is to go to the Uninstall section, then “View all applications”. Find the app in question and then click on the ♡ button in the toolbar. Alternatively, you can add any favorite app in the Favorites section, by clicking the + button in the toolbar.

Licence

This is the best place to securely store app licence information. Enter the username or email address used to licence the app, then the licence key used to activate the app and finally any comments.

Documents

For each app, you can attach one or more documents, such as an image or a PDF document. Click the cogwheel to view more options, such as exporting, renaming, or previewing the file.

Protection

By going to TrashMe 3 Preferences, General section, you can choose to protect access to the Favorites section. In this case, you will be prompted to enter your macOS account password each time you open Favorites for the first time. This protection is also compatible with TouchID.

Export and restoration

By going to TrashMe 3 Preferences, General section, you can save all the favorite apps and also restore them.
