This function will allow you to map your entire disk or a particular folder. You will get a detailed and visual overview of the space used by each of the folders and files, and you will be able to browse the file tree.
Choose the file to analyze
On the first page, choose which folder you want to analyze, either your User folder or your entire disk. The scan time can be long if you have a large amount of files, if your Mac is old, or if you choose to map the entire main disk.
Results analysis
On the left side is the tree of the selected folder. Double-click a folder to view its contents. On the right side, you will find a graph of the space used in the current folder. Hover each part of the chart for more information. You can select files to delete by checking the box in front of the desired file. Then click on the “Delete” button at the bottom right.
Go back up in the tree
To go up a level in the file tree, you can either click on the button that appears on the hover from the center of the graph, or in the toolbar above the chart, click on the “Go Up” button (an up arrow).
