Startup

TrashMe is able to list all the apps and processes that run when you start your Mac. These processes can sometimes slow down startup and overload your Mac’s RAM. Be careful when deciding to remove a startup item as it may affect the operation of a particular app.

Launch Agents

Each launch agent is made up of a file in PLIST format, which includes instructions for launching an app or process when your Mac starts up. In the event that you cannot accurately determine the name of the app attached to the launch agent, we recommend that you do not disable the agent. To disable a launch agent, check the box in front of the file and click on the “Disable” button at the bottom right.

Login Items

Login items are mostly apps that you choose to launch when you log in to your Mac. In some cases, it is necessary to open the app that installed a Login Item in order to be able to disable it. In other cases check the box in front of the element then click on the “Disable” button at the bottom right.
