With TrashMe, you can delete your application by:
After opening TrashMe, the main window displays a 'Trash' icon. Drag an application or any other uninstable component (preference pane, widget...) onto this icon. Just after that, TrashMe will be searching related files and will display results in a new table list.
Then, have a look at related files found by TrashMe and eventually uncheck files you don't want to delete. You can now safely click on the "Delete" button above the list, TrashMe will ask you to confirm deletion and then will move all files to the Trash.
Note: you can disable confirmation by clicking "Don't show again".
By clicking on "Applications" in TrashMe sidebar, you'll display a list of all your applications. Note that TrashMe will only display applications stored in your default "Applications" folder and that first search could take few seconds (if you'd like to list applications from another folder, please add a Personal folder).
Protected applications have a "Lock" icon in last column: this could be a default Mac OS X application or an opened application. This protection can be disabled (see Preferences topic). Just mark all the applications you want to uninstall and then click on the "Related files" button a the top of the list.
TrashMe will search all related files. Eventually uncheck files you don't want to delete and then click on the "Delete button" above the list. TrashMe will ask tyou to confirm deletion and then will move all files to the Trash.
The procedure is exactly the same for other elements (Widgets, Preference panes and Plugins).
The smart detection automatically detects an application moved to the Trash and opens TrashMe to offer to delete related files. See Smart detection topic.
